Welcome to the web site of the Okanagan, British Columbia congragations of the United Church of God - Canada. We are a sabbath keeping organization affiliated with the United Church of God, an International Association, which has ministers and congregations throughout North, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. The Canadian national office is located in Toronto, Ontario.
We trace our origins to the Church that Jesus Christ founded in the early first century. We strive to follow the same teachings, doctrines and practices established then. Our commission is to proclaim the gospel of the coming Kingdom of God to all the world as a witness, and to teach all nations to observe what Christ commanded (Matthew 24:14; 28:19-20).

Hello there!
Welcome to our website. It is being looked after by one of the young men in our congregation, Edward Rands. He is good with computers and he will keep this site current and will do his best to help you to keep abreast of what is happening in our Kelowna and Penticton congregations.
The church of God is not a building. It is a group of people, drawn together by God's calling, through His Holy Spirit. The people that God has called into our congregations come from all walks of life. They attempt to represent God as Ambassadors of the Kingdom of God. They are normal, genuine, caring, hospitable ordinary every-day people just like you. They do not put on religious airs. Besides, the church is not a museum of saints. At times, we need to have our spiritual wounds treated. The church can be a hospital for healing.
We all need to gather together for worship, fellowship, encouragement, as well as instruction and edification. We all need to be involved in something beyond just ourselves. We need to be nourished. We need opportunities to help and encourage others as well. No man is an island. The people of God are His flock. The flock needs to be close to their shepherd. Christ is our chief shepherd. God has called me to help feed his flock also. It would be my pleasure to serve you in any way that I am able. Please feel free to contact me.
If you ever decide to attend in order to check us out, you don't have to be afraid. You will be made to feel welcome. The membership has a wealth of experience in living God's way. Some have been attending for over thirty years. If you ever come, I think you will be glad that you did!
